And I like it a lot more than Raleigh.

Kinja'd!!!

I’m here for the Colts and Panthers game tonight, and I’m super excited. I was here for the Browns and Panthers game last December, and it was a really good game.

It’s slated to rain this evening, and that kind of sucks, but FOOTBALL!

Is anyone else going to be there?

I just want the Panthers to lose because when my North Carolinian roommate gets disappointed in his sports teams, it’s hilarious.

I’m not a Panthers fan by any means (Seahawks all the way), and my oddly-racist-yet-super-liberal neighbors are huge Panthers fans. When the Panthers lose, they get a bit, um, cross. And when they win, they go Full Hammond.

I will say, Raleigh has a certain charm to it. Whenever I go up there to see my family I like it.

I like Raleigh better than Charlotte but Asheville trumps all.

I’m also not a panthers fan (steelers) but I am proud of NC. Same goes for Hockey. I’m a NJ devil’s fan but I’m frequently cheering for the canes.

I’ve noticed that Raleigh has a special charm that Charlotte doesn’t, but I do like larger cities. Nonetheless, Asheville will forever and always trump all.

I have been to two Hurricanes games. Both times they played the Devils. Both times the Hurricanes lost 4-1. And both times I sat in the same general area at PNC. I think it’s a conspiracy.

I live in Apex, and while it is safe, relatively inexpensive, and with good schools, it kinda bores me. Maybe it’s because I grew up here, I’m not sure. I’m happy and grateful that I have grown up here, but I have no problem with positive change.

Oh, well I always found the Cary/Apex area to be boring too. I think it’s because of the planned development mentality of the layout. Everything is so “perfect” that it becomes boring. Shopping centers on every large road intersection and developments everywhere. Just too much family-ness for my tastes. Nothing wrong with that, but it’s not my taste. I prefer North-Raleigh (between the I-440 and I-540) where my family lives.

I’ve spent a fair amount of time wind tunnel testing there. I always got a solid laugh out of the guys that plug in their diesel pickups because “it’s cold today, way down in the low 50s!”. Here in Detroit, we call that downright balmy!

Us North Carolinians are a completely different breed of people. And that’s good, I guess.

Thank for bringing the diversity! Also, can you ship some bbq sauce up this way? I’ve got a craving that needs to be sorted out.

We’ve got two BBQ sauces in NC: vinegar and ketchup. Which do you prefer?

I can get the sweet stuff anywhere, but that sour stuff you guys got is gold!
